Brake Drums - 220

Unread post by bryanspoon » Sat May 24, 2014 6:02 pm

Does anyone know if a 1974 brake drum fits a 1970 Travco 220? I see M300 brake drums available for 1974 for the M300 - but are the interchangable with the 1970 model?\n\nThanks!

I am pretty sure they do. That is what you have to do alot of times, try a different year. Most auto parts stores will not make you buy something if it's not the right part. It will probably just be fo the drum. You have to carefully knock the studs out with a punch and then punch them back in. If you are not comfortable doing that any machine shop can do it for a fee but really it's not that hard. Just make sure you use the lug nuts with a few flat washers to suck the stud back in and then re torque your wheels after 10-20 miles and then again at 50-100.
