Nessie has an old 13,500 from the factory and its a 27' Mahal. I am adding a second 13,500 as the one is not quite enough in the humid southeast. It would probably be plenty in a 220 though.

What have you been considering? Brand wise.

I already purchased one on sale a few months ago. I had gotten it before I found a simple problem keeping the old one from working. I picked up a Gree 13,500 btu heat pump unit as I am probably not going to repair the non working furnace. The price was very good and the reviews decent. I am hoping to have it installed before our next trip towards the end of July.

13,500 is more than enough. The 220's came factory with a 9.000 Polar Cub IIRC. You don't wanna go too big as most 220's only had a 4k genset. I have a 13,500 in my 270 now and it is more than adequate up here in New England.\nMy father used to install and service them for Travco. We were an authorized service center. Some of the Travco owners manuals even had him listed.\nAud-Ra-Tel\nHicksville NY

Well,I bought a dometic brisk,15000 btu ac.im just finishing up the fiberglass repairs around where the ac lives and hope\nTo have her in place tomorrow.after comparing the different ac brands,I now realize it's a crap shoot in what you buy.i think Coleman is the only brand still made in the U.S.i couldn't get close to buying one of theirs because of price.so it's back to a Chinese made US marketed brand.

Good luck with it. I installed the Gree in Nessie on Monday and it is keeping the interior cool in the 98 Degree heat here in GA. I also tested both AC units on the 6K Onan and it does fine. Headed to Beaufort SC on Sunday and will be running the roof AC on the Genset.

You can put an ez start capacitor from a central air unit to help with the load on the genset. I need to do mine.\n15,000 nbtu on a 220...lol you could drive through Arizona and have frost on the windshields.
