Re: My Dad's 1970 220
My latest 270(#3) isnt bad. My old 75 was all over the road. My 73 270 handled the best of all three but this one I have now needs the steering gear lash tightened a bit. The 220's were easier to drive.\nMy folks used to use the Travco for daytrips all the time. Nice to have your own restraunt and bathroom with you....we took it on day trips to:\nAction park NJ\nGreat Adventure NJ\nHaunted Mansion Nj\nCooperstown baseball hall of fame\nHowe caverns\nA seminar in NJ for when my dad was a TV repairman. I hung out in the camper all day.\nWe took it to my uncles in Ct and Mass.\nI took m dad's engraved name Plate off it last night. It was a hard thing to do.\nI was gonna put it up at the cemetery but figured someone woild steal it.\nI will install it in the 270 somhe can continue to travel\nIn style....

Well...Tuesday I watched it sail off into the sunset. The new owner drove it over an hour to East Haven CT wher it will hopefully be saved. It was sad. I saved Dad's dash plaque...\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHfInlTaKco

Re: My Dad's 1970 220
Well hopefully it will be a good home. Are you going to mount it in your main travco?\n\nI think we are going to look at a 64 tomorrow. Its pretty rough but at least we will get an idea of the general size in person.

I had a few thoughts. The first was put it on his headstone but I figure someone might steal it.\nThen we thought about framing it with the original registration and bill of sale.\nI think though I will just mount it in the new Travco so he can continue to be with us.

My mother was over today for Mother's Day. She brought this picture.\nYes, the little kid in the pic is me... \nNow I really wish I did not sell it.
