HHhmmm... How strong is a mopar four speed or five speed etc. against the 440 as a replacement for a 727 loadflite?\nConverting to a manual shift seems to be cheaper, more gear selectable and controllable... Outside of a trans mount, drive shaft mod... Seems like a straight shot as there is a lotta' clearance and a hydraulic clutch would be the choice Most or all of the older IHC, GMC, Flxible buses etc. converted to RV's are genaric 4 speeds. For the convenience and choice of gearing and gas economy, I wouldn't mind "rowing the Travco down the boulevard.. After I find the pic...\nI will once again post the pic of a stick (floor) shift Travco.. Believe its a 318? or 413...irreguardless, it is still 2, 3 or 4 times heavier than a Mopar sedan/auto... (One can always pretend they are driving a 40 or 45 foot Greyhound with a tag at 80 mph.)\nIMO FWIW\nFound it, and posted it... . I rest my case...\nBBB.
