Generator Specs

Unread post by ajeffers » Mon Feb 02, 2015 7:53 pm

The generator in the '76 Travco I want does not work. I think the best course of action would be to just buy a more modern one. What are the specs on the stock generator?

Basically, You need a 5KW (or abouts) generator that will fit into the factory location. If you have an Onan don't just throw it out... it's worth money, even broken. And they can almost always be fixed.

My 76 has an onan nh series 6 kw drawer unit. From what I understand the onans are tough generators. I have to replace the control board on mine. parts are available.

Smokstak.com has alot of Onan experts. Older Onans are nearly bulletproof.
