Cover for a 270

Unread post by dodgetimes2 » Mon Aug 22, 2016 6:30 pm

Can anybody recommend a good cover for a 270? I don't have a garage or car port to park her in and she's got a few leaks. I've used Covercraft for my Challenger but they don't seem to make anything for RVs.

Forget the brand but it was Tyvek. it worked but you have to handle them with kid gloves. They rip easy.

Guess I didn't dig deep enough into the Covercraft site. Looks like they custom make them so I can imagine they will be very expensive. http://www.covercraft.com/us/en/company/rv-covers

I know that I priced one a while back that was going to cost around $500.

Adco is what I had. They work but handle it with kid gloves. They rip very easily.

Thought I'd post an update on this. First of all the Class A cover I bought was way too big for our Travcos, probably could have purchased a Class C of similar length. The cover fits but there is a ton of extra material all around. The quality seems good though and the cinch straps seem to hold the cover tight around all the curves. That being said we did get our first rip when we had some 60+ MPH winds come though. The wind was some how able to build up under one of the vent caps and pull it right off it's mount allowing it to poke a series of holes though the cover. I patched it up using some spare Tyvek and Gorilla Tape. So far it's held up.
