\nJust the opposite. Cast iron holds heat which is what boils the gas after you shut it off and also the after market manifolds don't have heat risers so even less chance. The Holley spreadbore worked great till the day I sold it.\nThe spreadbore will work fine on a factory manifold. You need a 17$ adaptor plate made by Mr. Gasket. Summit sells them.
