Hapco Products - Lead Substitute

Unread post by rjsdotorg » Fri Aug 02, 2019 9:29 am

Thinking of getting a gallon from
https://hapcoproducts.com/product/lead- ... te-gallon/
$40 shipped.
Idea of course is to help protect the valve seats. I also use a qt of MM per 25 gallons.
Since I have installed O2 sensors I want to avoid phosphorus or manganese types.

Anyone else have input?

I had heard that lead could mess with O2 sensors. I do not know for sure, Luckily I have a 76 440 with the hardened valve seats.
