Hydrovac to Hydroboost conversion
I have already begun researching and ordering parts for this conversion. \n\nSo far I have ordered the following.\nMaster cylinder 4031345\nHydroboost 529393 $153.99 with $39 core at Oreilly with lifetime warranty.\nPump to Booster hose EDELMANN 91465 \nBooster to Steering Hose EDELMANN 91463\n\nOnce I get the parts in I will document the installation and include any modifications if necessary on this thread. All other parts should remain unmodified with the exception of the removal of the hydrovacs and related plumbing.

Great start... Looking forward to your progress, postings and successes,,,\nAfter the time it took, the cost and results,,,I STILL don't trust my 1974 Brakes....\nPS: Being positively greedy, maybe a u-tube of the conversion process\nor a low cost "how I done it" dvd? \nThis is a major, IMO, project for 1974 and older Travco's... \nBBB

I don't know about a video. I hate looking for informative videos on the internet. A 30 min video for one minute of relevant data is idiotic. Ill think about it though

Re: Hydrovac to Hydroboost conversion
The brakes on my Dodge are beat. Drum up front/ hydrovac, etc. I want to get started on this very same conversion. Currently trying to work out a deal with a guy that has the discs and calipers for the front. Just wondering how your attempt of this is working out (parts, etc)?

Re: Hydrovac to Hydroboost conversion
There's gotta be a way to make it work. Probably need to rework the bracket a bit to account for the booster unit. IDK. I just can't see spending the dollars on refreshing my current system only to be left with the inferior of the two.

Re: Hydrovac to Hydroboost conversion
Fin ally found some front calipers and associated hardware to get me started on reworking my 73's factory system. I found the parts while traveling in co. Had some tools on board so removed everything while taking time to admire pikes peak just 50 miles to the west. Desert dwellers are a unique bunch. Lots of old vehicles out in those parts. My next move is to call around on some of the parts listed on daves78 site. Some of the parts I don't see there are the power steering pump lines and the metering valve and other things that I'm likely not yet aware of. Anybody have any suggestions on part numbers?

Look for a Parker store. They made my new P/S hoses.
