When you buy the stud, post up a part number. Hopefully it's not a big deal to find one.

Re: Easy Lug nut removal
Can OP post up the math formula he used to figure out the amount of torque needed in foot inches to get a specific torque in foot pounds out of this unit? I just bought one and I have completely taken all the drums off to inspect and clean the brakes and I need to re torque everything. \n\nI think this unit is a 1:78 ratio drive so to achieve 450 foot lbs I would divide 450 by 78 which gives me 5.7 (rounded up) which converted to foot inches would be 5.7 x 12 which gives me 68.4 foot inches to achieve 450 foot pounds on the other end. Is this math correct?\n\nThanks.

I don't remember the formula right now. I think I divided 500 by the reduction and came out with a very low ftlbs number. I then used an online converter to get the inch lbs. I believe for 500 ft lbs it was 76 in lbs so I think your conversion is close if not right.

\nI have at least had it out of its box. Tried it even. One hand on the crank and I can spin the lugs off. This was after tightening them with a 4' breaker bar with all 260 lbs of my weight on it.badbillybiker wrote:CURIOUS... As I am constantly on the hunt for more Travco part numbers.. \nHas anyone seen the part number for that stud posted about yet?\nBe nice to have a spare or two to put into my "new" parts bin...\nPresuming it should be a low cost item, I'll take two...\nBBB
