Doing a little reading in the manual and the 6.0 NH is rated for 50 amps. That explains the 50 amp plug in the storage area. This also means it will run both roof ac units after the second one is in.

My 270 has the 50 amp plug too. My old 1970 220 has a transfer switch in the closet.\nWhen working on these old gensets, A hertz meter is a golden tool. I have mine dialed right in at 60 cycles at mild load.

Any one know what the torque spec is for the flywheel/fan bolt? Had to pull the flywheel to pull the broken starter bracket. The bracket is welded up and ready to go on. The end of the crankshaft is tapered and the flywheel/fan is cast. I want to make sure It is right the first time. I found the broken bracket when the starter quit (it was being cantankerous) and pulled a rigged up brace off the back.

Well it is not in the user/parts manuals. Thanks for the Gm manual as it has more than the one from Onan.\nI found the specs here. http://enginemastersinc.com/onanrebuild ... mation.htm

Thank you very much Dave. The page I found said 50 ft lbs but it did not feel that tight coming apart.

As long as you know the spec number of the NH generator you have, almost anything you will need to know is in the associated manual I pointed to.\n\nExample label plate decode\nImage
