Military Truck rally Weare NH

Unread postby Acesneights on Wed Jul 31, 2013 8:15 pm

went last weekend. Dry camped 3 days with the Travco. Me, my buddy and our sons.
Good times. Lots to do. We took my M1008 as well. went on some trail rides with the M1008 as well as in the back of a 5 ton.
I will go every year now. It was in the middle of the wood in a clearing. No electric, water nothing.
My son fell asleep on the way home. Wiped out.

Very cool !

Do you tow the pickup behind the Travco? If so... how does it do? I have an old 4Runner that I am thinking of pulling with mine.

No, the M1008 weighs 6800 lbs. My buddy is a Marine and drove it up. He was quite happy despite the heat and no a/c in it.
The good thing about following me in the Travco was the M1008 got unheard of fuel mileage.
23mpg hwy. Best I ever got was 17. I don't drive the Travco over 55. Travco got about 10 mpg on that trip.
