Looking for a screen door for my 1972 Travco
Anyone seen a factory screen door for sale anywhere? Not sure how difficult it would be to ship if I find one but we will see if I can find one.\n\nThanks.

There was one on Phoenix craigslist but it's not there now. That's going to be a needle in a haystack sorta thing. May just be easier to make your own from junkyard RV find.\nI have one of those magnetic screen doors that they sell at Wal-Mart and other stores. Here is a picture of mine and a link.\nhttp://www.buymagicmesh.com/?tag=im|sm|go|tm&a ... d=d330313e

Did yours come with a screen door ? If not you will need the door frame with the unit. I got a screen door but found the door frames are different. Looking for door frame that had a screen door.

Re: Looking for a screen door for my 1972 Travco
datsit - I have never seen a travco with a screen door so I am not completely sure what the door frame should look like... my door frame main piano style hinge has 2 additional separate small hinges that wrap inside the door... I always thought these were for a screen door... and the door frame looks like it has space to have a screen door sandwiched between the existing door and inner frame... I can take a pic of these small hinges sometime if it would help\n\n77travco - thanks for the suggestion on the "magic mesh" if I am unsuccessful in finding something

AFAIK they all come with the extra hinges(atleast all of mine did) but only two of mine actually had the screens.

Yes Mike, that is the frame for a screen, I have seen (like mine) the door frame does not have the lip on the inside for the screen. I will be making a trip down the 407 to a Travco (78?) sitting (will burn one day) on the river & ask the owner again for some spare parts & see if it has the frame I need , which I think it has (no screen door or I would have gotten it the first trip) I have one of thoes magnetic screens not installed (do they work ?? other owners say sometimes, need cutting & don't look good in place)

The "magic mesh" screen works pretty good! They can wear out depending on door traffic (I am on my 2nd one in 2 years). I also had to custom install mine as it's meant to fit a slightly wider door.
