Skirts, what years/models had them?

As mentioned elswhere, IF we end up with a Travco (one of the contenders), I'd like to find one with the lower skirts. Assuming they are like some other skirted vehicles I've dealt with, I know tire changes take... technique.\n\nThat said, it seems like I've seen the same year with skirted and unskirted bodies. Anyone able to illuminate me?

I think you may be talking about different year models. The 68 and older body style may be what you are refering to as "skirted".\nThe 69 and newer look "unskirted" and the grills and headlight placement changed again in 72 (i think).

Ok, I must have been looking at mislabled pictures. \n\nNow I've seen a "skirted" pre 68 with single headlights. Were the twin headlights on all or only some models? I was under the impression that all Pre 68' were twin headlight style.\n\nLike this one\n\nhttp://

The 1968 and older Travco 270's had 4 headlights.\nIn 1969 the 270's went to only 2 headlights that were still mounted up high. (Like the 220's)\nIn 1972 or 73 the 270's 2 headlights were moved down.\n220's always had just 2 headlights.\n\nI believe the above is a true statement...

Regarding 210's... are there any with twin headlights? I've seen several with the skirting, but none with the twin headlights/

I have to be honest with you... I just realized that a 210 and a 220 were two differen't coaches. I thought we were talking about the same thing... lol... As far as I know... the only Travcos that came with 4 headlights were the 68 and older 270's.\nI am not sure about the 210's or 220's so maybe someone else will chime in here.

the headlights were up high until 73 on all of them. In 74 down low. I always liked the Older ones better. I think pre 69 was skirted but I could be off a year.\nEdit: I have now seen 2 73 270's with headlights down low but I personally owned a 73 with them up high so maybe a split year ???

I have a 68. No skirts there, but the four headlight configuration is in effect.
