Re: Found a supplier for Starter bracket
Got the bracket today right before I left for work. It looks to be the right one just heavier duty. A little more meat to the cast. I will put it on and try it out Monday or Tuesday depending on how the Brake job goes.

Generator is up and running. Exercising it right now. The old bracket seemed to allow starter movement when cranking. No movement at all with the new bracket.

Part # for the bracket through Applied GMC is GM28-045-37.\nThe last good Onan # was 191-0929. It has been discontinued.

\nIt is time consuming but not really difficult to do. You do need a puller and torque wrench for the flywheel. everything else is 1/4 20 bolts with 3/8" heads.77Travco wrote:Good info to know. i hope I never have to do this!
