Discovered speed bleeders! YES!
Discovered Speed Bleeder screws last night! I guess the previous owner installed them on all four corners. Had to rebuild a leaking wheel cylinder on my 1975 270. While waiting for a friend to stop over to help me bleed the brakes, I decided to add fluid to the rear of the MC and start pumping the pedal by hand. I noticed that the fluid level was going down rather quickly. I refilled several times. About a quart and a half. Went back to the rear brakes I rebuilt and tightened the bleeder. Solid pedal now! Very strong brakes again!\n\nI wondered WHY the bleeder screws were about an inch long and not the "regular" ones I have always messed with. I guess they contain a spring and checkball internally so bleeding can be done my 1 person.\n\nShould be able to locate at a NAPA or on the internet somewhere. Makes bleeding a MILLION times easier. No vacuum pumps or strange contraptions to build. Just pump away and keep adding fluid!

Here is a link to some speed bleeders. There is a pretty good product description about them as well... http://www.jegs.com/i/Russell/799/63963 ... aQodgFoDWw

Do you know the correct size for Travco speed bleeders? I went by the size listed in my shop manual but the ones I ordered were way to small. Going back.

They have a spring loaded ball check to make bleeding a one person job. Just crack the bleeders and pump the brakes.
