If you have power at the starter (by bridging) might mean the starter relay connections? Mine were pretty loose or the relay is acting up.\n\nAlso rule out the neutral safety switch by trying to start it in neutral. Mine is a little off and I have to kind of shove into park to make a connection in the tranny.\n\nMy rookie electrician observations. not sure if the testing you did so far rules out both of these as faults but worth a try.\n\nRobC\n\nWelcome by the way. We are a colony of like-minded mechanical masochists.

I just wanted to update everyone and let you know that we finally made it back to Chattanooga, TN late Thursday afternoon. It was a grueling trip, but we made it thought it. The Travco ran great after replacing the carb. It still has the intermintent electrical issues, including no power to the dash and no power to the starter. They seem to happen independent of each other. Any way that is a topic for another time. Believe me I have plenty of questions. Thank you to everyone for the assistance and advice, it all was very helpful. eescabar

Glad you made it !! \n\nStart looking for an aluminum intake for it. The cast iron one gets too hot and will boil the gas in the carb. \nSince your home I'm gonna move this to the 270 section if you wanna keep it going.

\n\nI may rebuild the old carb and reinstall it. I did look into aluminum intakes, and if I keep the edelbrock then I make the intake upgrade. I kept expecting to get vapor lock, but it never happened. I guess that doesn't mean it won't happen, but I thought for sure with as many hours as we ran straight it would happen when we shut it off to get gas.\n\nI also may just upgrade to efi but I am just now starting to consider my options, and there are more pressing concers, like leaks and serious wiring issues.
