Power Converter issue?

I ran a power cord to my 72 Dodge Travco to test out the air conditioner. The power worked fine before testing the AC. When I went to turn on the AC the box in the back under the bed started buzzing extremely loud. Then it was just humming and no power to the coach. I still don't have power and none of the switches on the fuse box were not tripped. I have attached a pic of the converter. Can I get a new one? Is there something I'm missing as far as a fuse or reset? Any help is greatly appreciated. \nThanks, \nSean

Looks like a transfer switch. My 77 model doesn't have one... I'm guessing that someone added that in? It should select genset power by default. When shore cord becomes energized, then it should switch over to shore power. Of course it could be set up differently. \nMy coach has a shore cord that either plugs into the genset or a 120V AC receptacle.

You have to watch what one you use. The Travcos were wired a little different than newer RV's. I can't for the life of me remember which one I used but it had the Charge wizard thingy on it.\nBasically the Progressive Dynamics unit iirc has 2 circuits for the 12v house and then a circuit that charges the battery on those older units. \nThat funky looking panel on the wall looks like 240v a/c by the colors and kinda scary that it's exposed like that.\nMost Travcos I have seen either just have a house power cord and then an outlet from the Genset to plug the house power into or some actually had a Service panel with a transfer switch(My 1970 220 had this). Never seen what you have but it looks very dangerous to me.

When you say something was buzzing do you mean the power convertor ?\nAlso when you say you have no pwer now do you mean on the 12v side or 110 ?

It was the undentified thing buzzing. I have no 110v power or 12v power when plugged into shore power outlet ever since this happened.

Do you have a Wiggy or another 110/220 volt AC test meter? Sounds like the transfer looking switch in the picture has gotten hung up. This is an AC voltage issue not getting through that switch.

It does indeed look like a transfer or relay of some sort to me as well. Post some closer up pictures please.\n\nAnd yes, do be very careful - all those wires will be very much hot when the coach is plugged in, might be hot when your generator is running, etc. That's certainly not a very safe setup - once you get it sorted out you might be wise to put it in some sort of enclosure.
